Over the coming months, Teacher Proven is developing a Rural Immersion Series for Educators designed to address a critical gap in how educators explore, understand, and commit to rural and remote education.
These experiences bring together current and prospective rural educators for authentic, educator-centered immersions rooted in real school contexts, community relationships, and place-based learning.
What are these immersions designed to offer?
Each immersion is intentionally designed to:

Provide a realistic look at rural and regional teaching environments from an educator’s perspective

Center place-based cultural learning through respectful community partnership

Strengthen connection among rural educators across regions and systems

Create space for reflection on professional direction, readiness, and fit
For some participants, an immersion may help clarify whether a rural or remote teaching role is the right next step. For others, it offers deeper perspective, connection, and professional community within rural education.
